What Is Fusion 2000?
Fusion 2000 is a medium viscosity rapid curing adhesive specially formulated to give good adhesion to most rubbers and plastics. The cured adhesive has a good moisture resistance. It is an instant superglue based on Ethyl Cyanocrylate and sets within a few seconds.
Who Should Buy Fusion 2000 Glue?
It can be used for the general purpose bonding of plastics, nameplates to equipment (plastic), and thread termination on bookbindings. It is a gap-filling glue and is recommended for use on joints with small gaps or relatively smooth even surfaces.
Fusion 2000 is truly universal and will bond brass, copper, porcelain, steel, plastics, rubbers, ceramics, metals, woods, veneers, glass, leather, cork, cardboard, fabric and vinyl.
Fusion 2000 apart from being a superb adhesive will also solve many other glueing problems for example thread locking i.e. preventing the accidental loosening of nuts, metals, fasteners, screws, and bolts. It will seal porous die castings, retaining problems and sealing i.e. hydraulic and pneumatic connections, pipe threads, joints and locks.
What Can Fusion 2000 Superglue Be Used On?
- synthetic rubber gaskets in glazing systems
- assembly of rubber bush systems
- many plastics
How Do I Use Fusion 2000 Superglue?
Apply sparingly to one side and hold parts firmly together until the glue sets and a holding strength is achieved. Activators can be used for faster cure or for priming absorbent surfaces.
More glue doesn’t always mean a stronger joint. Only apply enough glue to evenly coat the area to be bonded when the parts are joined. Generally speaking, glue needs to be applied only to one surface although for porous surfaces you may need to apply it to both to get a strong bond. Working or positioning time will vary depending on the material.
