Heavy Duty Degreaser - Sodakleen
Sodakleen is without doubt one of the best heavy duty degreasers and cleaners used for heavily contaminated plant parts and equipment. It has been specifically designed for metal surface cleaning, processing and heavy-load degreasing tasks found in the industrial processing and engineering sectors.
It has a high concentrated formula designed for manual and automated cleaning and degreasing systems. The high impact and low-foaming properties enhance the cleaning performance as it retards the formation of air pockets in circulation systems when degreasing small intricate parts and components.
This degreaser quickly penetrates to emulsify unwanted surface contaminants of grease, oils and other tough to remove residues from ferrous metals and stainless steel.
What Is Sodakleen?
Sodakleen is part of APT’s PowerMax highly concentrated range of degreasers making it highly cost effective in use. It quickly breaks down and removes unwanted surface build up and heavy soiling in commercial cleaning and degreasing processes.
It is by far the best way to degrease or remove tough baked carbon deposits from commercial components and equipment parts.
This highly versatile product can also be used for manual deep cleaning, dip soak tank degreasing, as an ultrasonic bath cleaning fluid, tunnel washing, and spray washer fluid and parts washer cleaner.
Sodakleen contains metal corrosion inhibition systems, which, combined with its low-foaming properties, gives maximum oil, grease and carbon removal without the need for heavy manual work.

How To Clean And Degrease Metal Surfaces?
Dilute Sodakleen with the required amount of water, hot or cold, usually around 50-100 parts water for your cleaning or degreasing process. Allow to work for between 5-20 minute contact and cycle times depending on the task.
For manual cleaning and degreasing apply to surface and agitate where required then rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all residues.
Can be used either cold or hot up to 70°c for optimum cleaning and decarbonising of surfaces.
Typical Dilution Rates For Automated Systems
For automated degreasing systems, service components, metals and parts cleaning; CIP cleaning
Dilute Sodakleen to the required degree, with up to 50 parts water for your cleaning or degreasing process. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
For pressure washing and steam cleaning of heavy plant and equipment
Apply as low pressure washer detergent to the surface, agitate if required and wash off (use correct PPE).
Remove carbonised deposits as above for engine parts, fat fryer and food processing cleaning.
Use as an ultrasonic tank cleaner
Dilute with up to 60 parts water for most industrial cleaning and degreasing operations. To achieve maximum results, run cycles between 3 and 8 minutes.
Note: do not allow Sodakleen to dry out on surfaces without rinsing as it is caustic based.
