Rust inhibitor

When ferrous components have been thoroughly degreased, your headaches begin. Since the surfaces are perfectly clean, any moisture begins to cause surface oxidation forming rust. Removing the rust before the next manufacturing stage costs time and money.

So how can APT help?

Preventing surface oxidation

As part of our range we stock rust inhibitors to help you protect your finished ferrous metal products from oxidising during storage prior to further metal processing or re-manufacturing. When your team come to use the item, they can get straight on with the job - no more waiting round for rust removal.

It is designed to be extremely easy to use - simply dip and store. Then when your team come to use the item, they can get straight on with the job - no more waiting round for rust removal.

For you, this means greater efficiency, reduced turnaround time and lower processing costs keeping your line manager and the company accountants happy!

Multi-metal corrosion inhibitor

As with all APT products, this is a multi-use product, reducing your buying admin costs and storage requirements. It is an aqueous-based corrosion inhibitor that is effective on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals subject to inside storage conditions.

It is for use with aqueous systems and does not contain nitrites or amines. Because it is highly concentrated, you will find using APT rust inhibitor very economical.

Directions for use

Apply as a 0.5-2% solution in a dip-tank. For best results, apply immediately after components have been rinsed in order to prevent corrosion/tarnishing as the cleaned and degreased materials dry out.
