Electrical Cleaner

Electrical Cleaner

Premature failure of electronics components and printed circuit boards in industrial or consumer electronics creates a lot of administration time and effort - getting the faulty goods back, booking it into the returns system, analysing the reason for the failure and so on. Frequent returns can damage your company's reputation as a quality supplier.

We are in the business of helping electronics manufacturers avoid these failures, saving time, money and reputation.

Two causes of failure are poor soldering and corrosion.

Solder will not adhere well to a surface that has even the slightest trace of grease so you are no doubt looking for an electrical cleaner that is effective and that leaves no residue.

Many soldering fluxes are acidic so leaving flux residue on the printed circuit board could lead to corrosion and premature failure of the board. An electrical cleaner should remove the flux and leave no residue otherwise the problem could be made worse!

To protect your printed circuit boards you probably use a lacquer. Traces of flux and grease can cause poor adhesion, leaving a pathway for atmospheric moisture to reach and corrode the conducting surfaces. A quality electrical cleaner will remove not only soldering flux but also all traces of grease and oils, allowing perfect adhesion of the protective coating.

Wide range of electronics degreasers

APT have a range of non-conductive electronics and electrical contact cleaners that will ensure that your electronic products are as well made as they can be. Our most popular are:

Lec 3 - specifically designed for switches ,circuit boards and contact cleaning

Lemix 7 - super-fast evaporating general electrical degreaser

Microtec 41 80 fast drying solvent cleaner and degreaser

Kagez 703 - slower evaporating for heavy duty electronics cleaning applications

Features and benefits

  • Fast evaporating - no wasted production time
  • Leave no residues - no need for further processing before the next stage in production
  • Manual or machine use - only one product needed for both styles of cleaning, reducing buying and storage overheads
  • Multi-purpose - can be used on most hard surfaces in your manufacturing centre thus reducing overheads

Safer to use

What's more, they contain no cyclic or aromatic hydrocarbons which provides you with a safer solvent degreaser that is more pleasant to use than traditional electrical cleaners. It also reduces your overheads as solvent disposal procedures are much more straightforward.
